Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Apple Privacy Analyst with a strong focus on Information Security to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring that our client’s data handling practices, particularly within the Apple ecosystem, comply with global privacy regulations and robust information security standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting privacy impact assessments, developing and implementing privacy controls, and providing expert guidance on secure configurations and privacy-by-design principles for Apple platforms and applications. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere while collaborating closely with a diverse group of security and privacy professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for projects involving Apple technologies and data.
- Develop, implement, and maintain privacy controls and security safeguards specifically tailored for Apple devices, applications, and services.
- Provide expert guidance on integrating privacy-by-design and security-by-design principles into the development lifecycle of Apple-focused solutions.
- Stay current with Apple's privacy features, security updates, and evolving privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) relevant to the Apple ecosystem.
- Advise on secure configuration and management best practices for macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and associated Apple services to enhance data privacy and security.
- Collaborate with legal, engineering, and product teams to ensure compliance with privacy policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and deliver training materials and awareness programs on Apple privacy and information security best practices.
- Respond to and investigate privacy incidents, breaches, and data subject access requests related to Apple data.
- Evaluate third-party applications and services for privacy and security risks when integrated with Apple platforms.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Privacy Analyst, Information Security Analyst, or similar role with a focus on privacy.
- In-depth understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and others.
- Strong knowledge of information security principles, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and best practices.
- Familiarity with Apple operating systems (macOS, iOS) and their privacy/security features.
- Experience conducting privacy and security risk assessments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Law, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPT, CISSP, Security+.
- Experience with enterprise mobile device management (MDM) solutions for Apple devices.
- Background in compliance, legal, or audit functions with a focus on technology.
- Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs).
