Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bank Teller with a strong focus on high-volume cash handling to join our team in Wesley Chapel, FL. In this role, you will be the face of Chase Bank, providing exceptional customer service while accurately processing a variety of banking transactions. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, speed, and accuracy, especially when managing large sums of cash and frequent customer interactions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient banking experience for our diverse clientele, contributing directly to the branch’s operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of cash and check transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
- Verify customer identities and transaction details to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with bank policies.
- Balance cash drawer daily with precision and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service, answering inquiries and resolving basic account issues.
- Identify customer needs and suggest appropriate bank products and services.
- Adhere strictly to all banking regulations, security procedures, and compliance guidelines.
- Assist customers with self-service banking options and ATM operations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve branch goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Handle customer complaints with patience and escalate complex issues to appropriate personnel.
- Perform general administrative duties as required.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a high-volume cash handling role (e.g., retail, banking, casino, large-scale cashier).
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently with large sums of cash.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a bank teller or in a financial services environment.
- Knowledge of banking products, services, and regulatory requirements.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
