Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Clothes Rail Installer to join our remote team as a Quick WFH Setup Aid. In this unique role, you will assist customers in setting up essential home office components, specifically focusing on the efficient and secure installation of clothes rails and other light storage solutions crucial for maintaining an organized work-from-home environment. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to manage your schedule while providing vital support to our customers’ home office setups in Geelong and surrounding areas within Victoria. You will be instrumental in helping our customers create functional and clutter-free workspaces from the comfort of their homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently travel to customer locations within the Geelong area to perform clothes rail and light storage unit installations.
- Ensure all installations are completed safely, securely, and efficiently, following IKEA's quality standards and product specifications.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, answering basic questions regarding product use and maintenance.
- Manage your own schedule and maintain a toolkit with necessary tools for installations.
- Communicate effectively with customers and the IKEA support team regarding appointments, job status, and completion.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols during installations and while traveling to customer sites.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and cleanliness at customer premises.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools for assembly and installation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow assembly instructions accurately.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the specified geographic area (Geelong and surrounds).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot minor assembly issues.
- Basic communication skills and a strong customer-focused attitude.
- Physical ability to lift and move furniture components as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in furniture assembly or home installation services.
- Familiarity with IKEA products and assembly instructions.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with using a smartphone or tablet for scheduling and communication with the team.
