Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry-Level Quality Control Tester to join our team in Santa Clara, CA. As a Quality Control Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of our games by identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs and issues. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases across various gaming platforms.
- Identify, reproduce, and accurately document software defects and anomalies using bug tracking systems.
- Collaborate closely with development and production teams to clarify issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues have been introduced.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on game usability, balance, and overall player experience.
- Adhere to project schedules and deliver quality work within deadlines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong passion for video games and a solid understanding of various gaming genres and platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle inconsistencies.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Ability to adapt to new tools and technologies quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with different gaming consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) is a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of game development cycles.
- Relevant coursework or certifications in game design, QA, or related fields.
