Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Account Auditor with a strong focus on accuracy and finance to join our remote team. As an Account Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of financial records, transactions, and processes to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This 100% remote role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently to identify discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive audits of financial statements, accounts, and internal controls.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data and transactions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and relevant financial regulations.
- Identify potential financial risks, fraud indicators, and operational inefficiencies.
- Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with various departments, including Finance, Operations, and Compliance, to gather necessary information and facilitate audit processes.
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective measures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of auditing methodologies and internal control systems.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as an Account Auditor or in a similar financial auditing role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear report generation and stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE).
- Experience with enterprise-level ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
