Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Wall Emulsion Helper to join our dynamic painting team in the historic French Quarter. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to learn the painting trade, assist skilled painters, and contribute to high-quality finishes on various residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare work sites by covering floors, furniture, and other surfaces with drop cloths and tape.
  • Clean and prepare walls and other surfaces for painting, including sanding, scraping, and patching holes or cracks.
  • Mix paint and other materials to the desired consistency and color, following specific instructions.
  • Assist lead painters with the application of paint, using brushes, rollers, and sprayers as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas throughout the project.
  • Load and unload painting supplies and equipment.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and supplies (up to 50 lbs).
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Basic understanding of safety practices.
  • Reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
