Job Description

Chegg is looking for a dynamic and creative Online Student Marketer with a strong focus on social media growth to join our team in Riverside, CA. This role is crucial in expanding our brand presence and engagement within the student community through innovative digital strategies. You will be responsible for developing and executing social media campaigns, creating compelling content, analyzing performance, and identifying new opportunities to connect with students online. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, a deep understanding of social media trends, and a knack for creating content that resonates with a student audience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to drive student engagement and brand growth across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging content (text, image, video) tailored for specific social media channels and target student demographics.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, student conversations, and competitive activity, providing actionable insights.
  • Run targeted social media advertising campaigns, optimizing for reach, engagement, and conversion.
  • Engage with students and influencers online, fostering a positive and interactive community.
  • Analyze social media performance using analytics tools, preparing regular reports on key metrics, and recommending adjustments to strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing, content, and product teams to ensure brand consistency and campaign alignment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Identify and explore new social media platforms and features relevant to the student audience.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in social media marketing with a focus on growth and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms and their respective algorithms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter).
  • Excellent content creation skills, including writing, visual storytelling, and basic video editing.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, native platform insights).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
