Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and service-oriented Hotel Porter to join our dedicated team in Plymouth, Devon. As a Hotel Porter, you will be the first point of contact for many of our guests, playing a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable stay. This is a direct hire position; we are not working with agencies for this role. If you have a passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic, and enjoy assisting others, we encourage you to apply. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests, including luggage handling, assisting with room transfers, and providing general support across the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with luggage handling, ensuring safe and efficient transportation to and from rooms.
- Provide attentive and helpful service to guests, answering inquiries and offering local recommendations.
- Assist with the delivery and collection of guest items, including room service, laundry, and parcels.
- Support the front desk and concierge teams with various tasks as needed, maintaining smooth hotel operations.
- Ensure the lobby and entrance areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times.
- Assist guests with transportation arrangements and provide directions.
- Handle guest requests promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
