Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Receptionist for a casual weekly hire position at our prestigious hotel in Augusta. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Handle guest inquiries, provide information about hotel services and local attractions, and resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with check-ins and check-outs, process payments, and maintain accurate guest records.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Distribute mail, messages, and packages to guests and staff.
- Perform light administrative duties as needed, including data entry and filing.
- Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with hotel management software (e.g., Opera PMS).
- Familiarity with Augusta and surrounding areas.
- Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus.
- Associate's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
