Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional UPS Ambulance Driver to provide essential facility medical support. In this critical role, you will be responsible for on-site emergency response, safe transportation of personnel requiring medical attention, and maintaining the readiness of medical equipment within our Arlington facility. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and proficiency in basic and advanced life support techniques. You will play a vital role in ensuring the immediate and effective medical care for our employees and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate an ambulance safely and efficiently in response to on-site medical emergencies.
- Provide immediate basic and advanced life support care to injured or ill individuals within the facility.
- Transport patients to local medical facilities as needed, ensuring safe and comfortable transit.
- Maintain all medical equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and in working order.
- Complete accurate and detailed documentation of patient care reports and incident logs.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks, ensuring the ambulance is always ready for immediate deployment.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and medical protocols.
Required Skills
- Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Current Paramedic (EMT-P) or Advanced EMT (AEMT) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of ambulance driving or emergency medical services experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients and heavy medical equipment.
- Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and patient assessment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an industrial or corporate medical support setting.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Defensive driving course completion.
- Strong geographical knowledge of the Arlington, VA area.
