Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Specialty Chemical Associate to join our B2B Technical Support team. In this role, you will be the primary technical point of contact for our business customers, providing expert guidance and solutions related to our specialty chemical product portfolio. This position requires a strong understanding of chemical principles, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric approach to support our diverse client base in various industries. You will work closely with sales, R&D, and production teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting to B2B customers regarding the application, performance, and compatibility of specialty chemical products.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers and internal teams.
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate specialty chemical solutions.
  • Collaborate with R&D to address complex technical challenges and provide customer feedback for product improvement and new product development.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and case studies for customer issues and solutions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive products, and new technologies in specialty chemicals.
  • Assist the sales team with technical aspects during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Ensure all technical support activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related scientific field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical support, applications, or R&D role within the chemical industry.
  • Strong understanding of organic and inorganic chemistry principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Experience with specific specialty chemical applications (e.g., coatings, adhesives, construction chemicals, personal care ingredients).
  • Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
  • Project management experience.
