Job Description
As an Internal Auditor with a focus on Admin and Data at Netflix, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the integrity of our operations and data across the enterprise. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of administrative processes, IT systems, and data management practices to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for management. You will work cross-functionally with various teams, identifying risks, evaluating controls, and recommending improvements to enhance efficiency, security, and data governance across our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct independent assessments of administrative and operational processes to identify risks and control gaps.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls related to data governance, data privacy, and information security.
- Perform data analytics using various tools and techniques to identify trends, anomalies, and potential control weaknesses.
- Document audit findings, prepare comprehensive audit reports, and present recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- Monitor and follow up on the timely and effective implementation of audit recommendations.
- Assist in the development and refinement of audit methodologies, programs, and risk assessments with a data-centric approach.
- Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and other departments to understand existing processes, data flows, and control environments.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in internal audit, data management, privacy, and cybersecurity.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the internal audit function.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in internal audit, risk management, or compliance roles, with a focus on administrative or data processes.
- Strong understanding of auditing principles, methodologies, and frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated experience with internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) software platforms.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and data security standards.
- Experience in the entertainment or technology industry.
