Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proficient Transcriptionist to join our remote team, specializing in medical and legal content for AI training. In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio and video recordings, ensuring high-quality data input for the development and refinement of our advanced AI systems. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while contributing to groundbreaking technology in the healthcare and legal sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transcribe audio and video files with exceptional accuracy, focusing on medical and legal terminology.
  • Adhere strictly to established style guides, grammar rules, and formatting requirements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data security protocols when handling sensitive information.
  • Meet daily and weekly transcription quotas and deadlines.
  • Utilize specialized transcription software and tools efficiently.
  • Provide constructive feedback on audio quality and content clarity to improve processes.
  • Collaborate with team leads to clarify ambiguous content and ensure consistency.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional listening skills and native-level English proficiency (both written and verbal).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM).
  • Familiarity with medical and/or legal terminology, or a strong ability and willingness to learn quickly.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs).
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in medical or legal transcription.
  • Certification in transcription, medical coding, or paralegal studies.

  • Familiarity with transcription platforms and foot pedal usage.
