Job Description
Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a strong background in the construction and/or technology sectors? WSP Global is seeking a highly skilled and diligent Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in Bristol. This pivotal role will involve managing complex contractual agreements, ensuring compliance, and mitigating risks across a diverse portfolio of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer a wide range of contracts, including service agreements, procurement contracts, and subcontracts within the construction and technology domains.
- Ensure all contractual activities comply with legal requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks, providing proactive advice and solutions to project teams.
- Manage contract changes, variations, and claims effectively, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters, liaising with internal stakeholders, clients, and legal counsel.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Provide training and guidance to project teams on contractual terms and best practices.
- Support dispute resolution processes and contribute to legal proceedings when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or technology sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, commercial terms, and conditions.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, IACCM).
- Experience with international contracts and cross-border project delivery.
- Familiarity with digital construction technologies and related contractual implications.
