Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Milk Run Assistant to join our early morning logistics team in Missoula. This is a full-time position offering stable hours and consistent income. The Milk Run Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and loading of products for daily deliveries, focusing specifically on our specialized ‘milk run’ routes which serve key clients with time-sensitive needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick and stage products according to daily route sheets and delivery schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment used for loading.
  • Load delivery vehicles efficiently and securely, ensuring product integrity and proper weight distribution.
  • Assist drivers with route preparation and problem-solving before departure.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area within the warehouse.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, especially concerning food handling and cold chain management.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse supervisors and drivers regarding any discrepancies or issues.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Must be able to work early morning shifts, including weekends if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
  • Experience operating a pallet jack or forklift (certification a plus).
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
