Job Description
Ricoh UK is seeking a diligent and organized Filing & Post Room Clerk to join our team in Telford. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an individual looking to start their career in an office administration role, with an immediate start available. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our internal mail and document management systems, contributing to the overall productivity of our office.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, open, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries to the correct departments and individuals.
- Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail, including franking, packaging, and coordinating with courier services.
- Maintain and update physical and digital filing systems, ensuring accuracy and easy retrieval of documents.
- Scan, index, and archive documents in accordance with company procedures.
- Manage the inventory of post room supplies, ordering new stock as needed.
- Assist with basic data entry and administrative tasks as required.
- Ensure the post room and filing areas are kept tidy and organized.
- Adhere to data protection and confidentiality policies at all times.
Required Skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite, email).
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting and moving boxes of files/mail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or post room role (even if voluntary).
- Knowledge of various postal services and courier operations.
- A full UK driving license (desirable for occasional off-site deliveries).
