Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Returns Clerk to join our e-commerce operations team in Glendale, CA. This role is crucial for maintaining guest satisfaction by accurately and efficiently processing returns and exchanges for online orders. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational skills, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of our e-commerce supply chain and directly impact the guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and process returned merchandise from e-commerce orders according to company policy.
- Verify product condition, quantity, and SKU against return authorizations and packing slips.
- Accurately input return data into inventory management and order fulfillment systems.
- Initiate and track e-commerce exchanges, ensuring correct items are dispatched to guests.
- Identify and escalate discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisory staff.
- Organize and re-stock returned items or prepare them for disposal/liquidation as directed.
- Maintain a clean and organized returns processing area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 30 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or e-commerce returns environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
