Job Description
Are you a student looking for flexible part-time work that fits around your studies? Vue Cinemas in Colchester is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Event Ushers to join our team. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to gain valuable work experience in a vibrant theatre and cinema setting. You’ll be the welcoming face of our cinema, ensuring our guests have an enjoyable and safe experience from the moment they arrive until they leave. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Check tickets and direct customers to their assigned screens and seats efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of cinema screens, lobbies, and restrooms before, during, and after screenings.
- Respond to guest inquiries, provide information about films, showtimes, and cinema facilities.
- Assist guests with special needs, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all.
- Monitor cinema auditoriums for guest comfort, safety, and adherence to cinema policies.
- Handle minor issues or disturbances in a calm and professional manner, escalating to management when necessary.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including emergency evacuation protocols.
- Support the cinema team in various tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
