Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Part-time Creche Assistant to join our dedicated team in Elk Grove, CA. This unique role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about working with young children and are seeking flexible hours that align with a school schedule. You’ll play a vital role in creating a warm, engaging, and safe environment, assisting our lead educators with daily activities, supervision, and routine care. This position offers the opportunity to contribute positively to early childhood development while accommodating personal schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers with the implementation of daily age-appropriate activities and lessons.
  • Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Support children with personal care routines, including mealtime assistance and diapering/potty training as needed.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Observe and report any concerns regarding a child's development or behavior to the lead teacher.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as required.

  • Prior experience in a childcare setting (e.g., daycare, preschool, camp counselor).
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of early childhood education philosophies.
