Job Description
Join the FedEx Ground team as a valued member of our warehouse and shipping operations. This entry-level position is perfect for high school students or recent graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in logistics. You will be instrumental in the smooth flow of packages through our facility, ensuring timely and accurate processing, loading, and unloading of freight. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload packages from vehicles and conveyor belts.
- Sort and scan packages according to destination and established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks (training provided).
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic literacy (reading and writing English).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED in progress or completed.
- Prior experience in a warehouse, retail, or similar physically demanding role (even if informal).
- Understanding of basic safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
