Job Description

Target in Chesapeake, VA, is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Stockists for our large format store. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently unload merchandise from delivery trucks and move it to the sales floor or designated storage areas.
- Stock shelves, displays, and racks with new merchandise, ensuring items are correctly priced and neatly arranged.
- Rotate products as needed, especially for perishable goods, to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom and sales floor, including removing empty boxes and packaging.
- Assist guests with locating products and provide basic directional assistance when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leaders regarding inventory levels and potential stocking issues.
- Adhere to all store policies and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Operate manual pallet jacks or other equipment safely and efficiently after proper training.
Required Skills
- Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
