Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented FedEx Invoicing Assistant to join our remote finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices related to FedEx services, supporting our vast network of clients and internal departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of invoicing principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a remote work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial accuracy of a global leader in logistics and is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and review FedEx service invoices for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company policies.
  • Reconcile discrepancies by collaborating with various departments, including operations, sales, and customer service.
  • Prepare and submit invoices to clients in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary documentation is attached.
  • Respond to and resolve invoicing inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of all invoicing activities and transactions in the financial system.
  • Assist with month-end closing procedures related to invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in invoicing workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in an administrative or finance support role, preferably with invoicing responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and invoicing principles.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with FedEx shipping and billing systems.
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Prior experience in the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Certification in accounts payable/receivable or related financial areas.
