Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Night Shift Parcel Sorters in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. This is an immediate start, full-time position offering excellent night rates. As a Parcel Sorter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that packages and mail are efficiently sorted, processed, and prepared for delivery, contributing directly to our mission of timely and accurate service. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to working scheduled night shifts in a fast-paced environment. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort parcels and mail into correct categories based on destination and size.
- Load and unload packages from vehicles, ensuring safe handling and placement.
- Operate scanning equipment to track parcels and update delivery information.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sorting deadlines.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to work consistently during night hours.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy parcels (up to 20kg).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or sorting environment is an advantage but not essential.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices.
- Experience with manual handling techniques.
