Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Trailer Loader to join our afternoon shift team in Inglewood, CA. This role is essential to our distribution operations, ensuring that trailers are loaded accurately and efficiently for transport. You will be responsible for the physical loading of packages, adhering to strict safety protocols, and contributing to a smooth workflow. This position offers a consistent schedule with no weekend shifts, providing a great work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently load trailers with packages and freight, maximizing space utilization while maintaining load stability.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as needed.
- Inspect trailers before and after loading for any damage or safety hazards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve daily loading targets.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 49 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in loading processes.
- Strong commitment to safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, loading dock, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating manual pallet jacks.
