Job Description
Are you looking for a stable full-time role with a leading UK company? Sainsbury’s in Gloucester is seeking a dedicated Day Porter to join our facilities team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to start a career, as no prior experience is needed, and full training will be provided. You will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our store, ensuring a positive experience for all customers and staff. If you are reliable, proactive, and have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all public and staff areas.
- Maintain restrooms, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and sanitized throughout the day.
- Respond promptly to spills, accidents, and other urgent cleaning needs.
- Assist with waste management, including emptying bins and preparing waste for collection.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
- Support the facilities team with minor repairs or ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Ensure exterior areas, such as entrances and loading docks, are clean and free of debris.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide a friendly and helpful presence to customers and colleagues.
