Job Description
We are seeking an exceptional Virtual Program Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects across our distributed teams. This role is pivotal in driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless communication, efficient resource allocation, and adherence to project timelines and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, from inception to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and distributed teams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, tracking progress and ensuring accountability.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues efficiently to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all distributed team members and cross-functional departments.
- Implement and optimize program management methodologies and tools suitable for a virtual environment.
- Monitor project performance, prepare status reports, and present updates to senior leadership.
- Champion best practices for remote collaboration and team engagement.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment on project goals and outcomes.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program or project management, specifically with distributed or remote teams.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software or technology projects.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Asana) and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Slack).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced virtual environment.
- Demonstrated experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification (Scrum Master, SAFe).
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and large-scale enterprise solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Microsoft's product ecosystem and development methodologies.
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
