Job Description
Join Washington State University Tri-Cities as a Part-Time Student Office Clerk. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented and organized student looking to gain valuable administrative experience in a professional university setting. You will be an integral part of our Pasco office team, providing essential support to ensure smooth daily operations. This position requires availability Monday through Friday afternoons, offering a consistent schedule to balance with your academic commitments. Key Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
- Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages as necessary.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel or department.
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when needed.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars.
- Support staff with various administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure the office area is tidy and organized.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Currently enrolled as a student in good standing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in an office or administrative support role.
- Familiarity with university procedures and systems.
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Currently enrolled at Washington State University Tri-Cities.
