Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apple Database Developer with a strong focus on SQL and Big Data technologies. In this 100% remote role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions crucial for our projects involving Apple’s ecosystem and large-scale data analytics. You will work with diverse datasets, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity and security, contributing to innovative solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable database solutions using SQL and NoSQL technologies tailored for Apple-centric data environments.
- Optimize database performance, tuning queries and schema designs for efficiency and scalability within Big Data frameworks.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading into various data warehouses and data lakes.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other developers to understand data requirements and translate them into robust database designs.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Provide expertise in data modeling, database architecture, and data governance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.
Required Skills
- Expertise in SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle).
- Proven experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake).
- Strong understanding of database design principles, data modeling, and query optimization.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Scala for data manipulation and automation.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Apple-specific data environments or working with data generated from Apple platforms/devices.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of machine learning data pipelines.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications in relevant database or cloud technologies.
