Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Remote Blog Formatting Aide to join our dynamic digital content team. This is a fantastic work-from-home opportunity for someone with an eye for aesthetics and a passion for online content. As a Blog Formatting Aide, you will be crucial in ensuring our diverse range of blog posts are perfectly presented, user-friendly, and engaging across all digital channels. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a solid understanding of web best practices for readability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a 100% remote position, offering flexibility and the chance to contribute to a leading media organization from anywhere in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Format raw blog post content into a web-ready, visually appealing layout using our Content Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure consistent branding, style guidelines, and tone across all formatted content.
  • Optimize images, videos, and other media for web display, ensuring fast loading times and responsiveness.
  • Implement SEO best practices in formatting, including proper heading structures, internal linking, and meta descriptions.
  • Proofread and make minor editorial adjustments for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  • Collaborate with content creators and editors to understand their vision and requirements for each piece.
  • Maintain an organized workflow, tracking progress and adhering to publishing deadlines.
  • Stay updated on current web design trends and SEO guidelines relevant to content presentation.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Content Management Systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or similar platforms).
  • Strong understanding of basic HTML and CSS for minor adjustments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Good written English communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of image editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop Express).
  • Familiarity with SEO principles for content formatting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a content formatting, web publishing, or digital assistant role.
