Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated UPS Support Analyst to join our dynamic team and provide critical remote support for Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems across our enterprise infrastructure. This role is 100% remote, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere. As a UPS Support Analyst, you will be the first line of defense for system issues, diagnosing problems, implementing solutions, and ensuring the continuous availability of power to our critical IT systems. You will work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with global teams to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and troubleshoot UPS systems remotely, identifying and resolving power-related incidents promptly.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams regarding UPS functionalities and best practices.
- Perform routine health checks, preventative maintenance, and configuration adjustments on UPS devices.
- Document all incidents, resolutions, and configurations meticulously within ticketing and knowledge base systems.
- Collaborate with hardware vendors and internal engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents.
- Analyze system logs and performance data to proactively identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
- Assist in the deployment and decommissioning of UPS units as needed, guiding remote hands where necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in IT support, particularly with hardware or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems and their components.
- Proficiency with remote diagnostic and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Data Center Technician).
- Experience with major UPS vendors like APC, Eaton, Vertiv, or Liebert.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
