Key Responsibilities
- Accurately interpret, data entry, and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Package and label medications according to facility-specific requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with ordering and stocking pharmacy supplies.
- Perform quality control checks on prepared medications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.
- Operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment.
- Collaborate with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely prescription processing.
- Assist with medication returns and disposal procedures.
Required Skills
- Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the state of Nevada.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a high-volume setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
- Previous experience in long-term care, mail-order, or hospital pharmacy settings.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., FrameworkLTC, RxConnect).
- Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
