Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret, data entry, and fill prescriptions for long-term care residents under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Package and label medications according to facility-specific requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with ordering and stocking pharmacy supplies.
  • Perform quality control checks on prepared medications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Adhere strictly to all state and federal pharmacy regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company policies.
  • Operate and maintain automated dispensing equipment.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely prescription processing.
  • Assist with medication returns and disposal procedures.

Required Skills

  • Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration in the state of Nevada.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT).
  • Previous experience in long-term care, mail-order, or hospital pharmacy settings.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy management software (e.g., FrameworkLTC, RxConnect).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations.
