Job Description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Virtual Product Photographer to join our creative team on a part-time, remote basis. This unique role allows you to work from the comfort of your home, shooting a variety of Patagonia products sent directly to you. You will be responsible for capturing compelling, high-quality images that showcase our products’ features, aesthetics, and functionality, aligning with our brand’s visual identity. Ideal for individuals with a passion for photography, attention to detail, and the ability to manage their own workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unbox, and carefully handle products shipped to your home studio.
- Conceptualize and execute creative product photography setups, including flat lays, lifestyle shots, and detail photography, adhering to brand guidelines.
- Utilize professional photography equipment to capture high-resolution images suitable for web, print, and social media.
- Perform post-production editing, color correction, and retouching to ensure images are polished and consistent.
- Organize, label, and upload final images to our digital asset management system within specified deadlines.
- Maintain clear communication with the marketing and creative teams regarding project status and product returns.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in product photography (portfolio required).
- Proficiency with professional DSLR/mirrorless cameras and lighting equipment.
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for image editing and retouching.
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience photographing outdoor gear or apparel.
- Basic knowledge of videography and video editing.
- Familiarity with Patagonia's brand ethos and product range.
- Degree or certification in Photography, Visual Arts, or a related field.
