Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Event Ticketing / Box Office Clerk to join our team in Murrieta. This is a sit-down role primarily focused on ticket sales and customer service at our event venue box office. The position involves shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for all patrons.
Key Responsibilities
- Process ticket sales accurately using ticketing software and cash handling systems.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering inquiries about events, seating, and venue policies.
- Handle Will Call ticket distribution efficiently and securely.
- Reconcile daily cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized box office environment.
- Assist patrons with issues or special requests related to ticketing or venue access.
- Stay informed about upcoming events and venue information to better assist customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding ticket sales and customer interactions.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Proven ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliability and punctuality, with flexibility to work scheduled shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a box office, retail, or direct customer service role.
- Familiarity with ticketing software systems (e.g., Ticketmaster, AXS, etc.).
- Experience working in an entertainment or event venue setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
