Job Description

Are you a budding mobile developer with a passion for creating beautiful and high-performing applications? Experian is seeking a Junior Flutter Developer to join our dynamic team in Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to kick-start their career, working on cross-platform mobile applications that make a real difference to our customers globally. You will collaborate closely with senior developers, designers, and product managers to bring innovative features to life, focusing on clean code, user experience, and robust performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.
  • Collaborate with senior developers and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in debugging and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Contribute to the entire application lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Flutter and mobile development trends and technologies.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of Flutter framework and Dart programming language.
  • Familiarity with mobile development concepts (UI/UX, state management).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to write clean, modular, and testable code.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
  • A personal portfolio or examples of Flutter projects (e.g., GitHub repo, personal apps).
