Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous WFH Software Tester to join our team, focusing on high-impact Google Projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about quality assurance and bug tracking to contribute to world-class software solutions from the comfort of their home office. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, functionality, and user experience of applications developed for one of the world’s leading technology companies. This position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the chance to collaborate with diverse teams across different locations. Your expertise in identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs will be vital in delivering robust and high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for software applications on Google Projects.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies using bug tracking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication of issues and progress.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to discuss testing efforts and project status.
  • Contribute to the improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
  • Provide clear and concise bug reports and status updates to the project team.
  • Verify bug fixes and ensure that issues are resolved according to specifications.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in manual software testing.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft Office).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation.
  • Experience working on projects related to Google technologies or platforms.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level).
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
