Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated UPS Support Lead to join our growing team in Wesley Chapel, FL. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for logistics and a knack for leadership to manage a dedicated team focused on optimizing UPS-related operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily support activities, ensuring compliance with shipping protocols, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to motivate and develop team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of UPS support specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee daily UPS shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complex UPS-related inquiries and escalated issues.
- Monitor team performance against key metrics, providing regular feedback and coaching.
- Implement and enforce best practices for package handling, tracking, and claims processing.
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline workflows and improve overall service.
- Train new team members on UPS systems, procedures, and company policies.
- Prepare regular reports on team productivity, service levels, and operational challenges.
- Stay updated on UPS policies, rate changes, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain environment.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of UPS systems and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
