Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Event Transportation Lead to oversee and coordinate multi-car transportation logistics for our diverse portfolio of events. This critical role involves managing vehicle fleets, scheduling drivers, optimizing routes, and ensuring the safe and timely movement of personnel, VIPs, and equipment to and from various event locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic event environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive transportation plans for events, including multi-vehicle coordination.
  • Manage a team of drivers, ensuring adherence to schedules, safety protocols, and company standards.
  • Optimize routes and schedules to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with event managers, clients, and vendors to understand transportation needs and expectations.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance and ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize tracking and dispatching software to monitor real-time vehicle movement and respond to changes.
  • Prepare reports on transportation performance, costs, and efficiency.
  • Implement contingency plans for unexpected delays or issues.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in transportation management or logistics, preferably in an events context.
  • Strong understanding of fleet management and multi-vehicle coordination.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with logistics software and GPS tracking systems.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certification in transportation, logistics, or project management.
  • Experience with large-scale event logistics or corporate transportation.
  • Familiarity with local traffic laws and routes in the Fishers/Indianapolis area.
