Job Description

TFI International is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Logistics Assistant Trainee in Hull, QC. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with little to no prior experience in logistics to kickstart their career with comprehensive, full training provided. You will learn the fundamentals of supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control from the ground up, contributing to the efficient movement of goods across North America. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Learn and apply company procedures for tracking shipments and managing documentation.
  • Support the logistics team in data entry and maintaining accurate records of goods and materials.
  • Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal departments under supervision.
  • Participate in inventory counts and help reconcile discrepancies.
  • Understand and adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance in logistics.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and process improvement initiatives within the logistics department.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required to support efficient operations.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite, email).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Business, Supply Chain) is an asset but not required.
  • Familiarity with basic office equipment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluency in both English and French (bilingualism is an asset in Quebec).
