Job Description
Join IBM as a Human Movement Annotator (Sports) and play a crucial role in advancing our AI capabilities for sports analysis. In this on-site position in Round Rock, TX, you will meticulously analyze and annotate video footage of various sports, identifying and labeling specific human movements, gestures, and performance metrics. Your work will directly contribute to the development of sophisticated AI models used to enhance athletic performance, injury prevention, and fan engagement. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, a keen eye for subtle movements, and a passion for sports.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately analyze and annotate human movement in high-volume sports video footage according to detailed guidelines.
- Identify and label key performance indicators (KPIs), biomechanical data, and specific actions within sports events.
- Ensure the highest level of accuracy and consistency in all annotations to train robust AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, sports scientists, and data quality teams to refine annotation guidelines and tools.
- Provide constructive feedback on annotation processes and software to improve efficiency and quality.
- Adhere to strict data security and confidentiality protocols for all proprietary and sensitive information.
- Participate in calibration sessions and ongoing training to maintain annotation standards.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in visual analysis.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods on video content.
- Basic understanding of sports rules, terminology, and human movement principles (or a strong willingness to learn).
- Proficiency in using computer applications and navigating digital platforms.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in data annotation, labeling, or quality assurance.
- Background or studies in sports science, kinesiology, physical therapy, or a related field.

- Experience with video analysis software or editing tools.
