Job Description
Join the Tyson Foods team as an Industrial Packer in our Pasco, Washington facility. This crucial role involves preparing food products for shipment, ensuring they meet our rigorous quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for packing various products efficiently and accurately, contributing directly to our supply chain and customer satisfaction. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position offering a top hourly rate for dedicated and reliable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately pack finished products into designated containers, boxes, or crates.
- Inspect products for quality defects prior to packing and report any issues.
- Label packages correctly with product information, batch codes, and expiration dates.
- Operate packing machinery and equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding product handling and food safety.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met.
- Assist with other general warehouse or production duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Reliability and strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in an industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial packing role.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, GMP).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
