Job Description
Are you an energetic individual looking for flexible work opportunities? DoorDash is seeking Rapid Errand Runners to join our dynamic team in Downtown Halifax. This role is perfect for active gig workers who enjoy being on the move and want to earn competitive income on their own schedule. As a Rapid Errand Runner, you will be responsible for timely and efficient pickup and delivery of various items, primarily food orders, from local restaurants and businesses to customers’ doorsteps.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigate Downtown Halifax efficiently to pick up and deliver orders.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of items to customers.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Handle items with care to prevent damage during transit.
- Communicate effectively with customers and support teams.
- Utilize the DoorDash app for managing orders, navigation, and tracking.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle or bicycle.
- Proof of vehicle insurance (if applicable).
- Smartphone with data plan and ability to use the DoorDash app.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
- Familiarity with the Downtown Halifax area.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food delivery, courier services, or other gig economy roles.
- Knowledge of local routes and shortcuts in Halifax.
- Customer service experience.
