Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Glasgow. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring that every beauty product manufactured or distributed by L’Oréal UK & Ireland meets our stringent quality and safety standards. You will perform detailed visual and functional inspections, identify any deviations, and contribute to maintaining the integrity and excellence of our world-renowned beauty portfolio. Your keen eye for detail will be crucial in upholding the trust our consumers place in our brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive visual and functional inspections of beauty products, including cosmetics, skincare, and fragrance items.
- Verify product compliance with established specifications, packaging standards, and labeling requirements.
- Identify, document, and report any defects, non-conformities, or deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all inspection activities, results, and dispositions.
- Collaborate effectively with production, packaging, and warehouse teams to address and resolve quality issues.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality failures and contribute to corrective action plans.
- Ensure the inspection area remains clean, organized, and compliant with safety protocols.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant company quality policies and procedures.

- Ability to work meticulously and methodically in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and simple reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in quality control, inspection, or a manufacturing/production environment.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in the cosmetics or pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience handling or working with beauty products, cosmetics, or personal care items.
- A relevant vocational qualification or high school diploma with demonstrable experience.
