Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport patients safely and courteously between wards, departments, and other areas using wheelchairs, trolleys, or beds.
  • Deliver and collect medical records, specimens, equipment, and other items as required throughout the hospital.
  • Assist with the movement and setup of medical equipment and furniture.
  • Respond promptly to requests for portering services, managing your time effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of portering equipment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control policies.
  • Provide compassionate support and reassurance to patients during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
