Job Description
Are you looking for a flexible way to earn money on your own schedule? DoorDash is looking for energetic and reliable Delivery Riders in Lakewood, CO, to join our team of independent contractors. As a Dasher, you’ll use your own scooter or bike to pick up orders from local restaurants and deliver them directly to customers’ doors. Enjoy the freedom of being your own boss, setting your hours, and earning weekly for every successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently pick up food orders from various restaurants and stores.
- Deliver orders promptly and accurately to customers' specified locations.
- Interact professionally and courteously with restaurant staff and customers.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and functional scooter or bike.
- Use the DoorDash app to accept orders, navigate, and communicate delivery status.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Own a reliable scooter or bicycle.
- Possess a valid driver's license (if operating a scooter requiring one) or state ID.
- Have a smartphone with data plan (iOS or Android).
- Ability to lift up to 20-30 lbs (e.g., large food orders).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of using navigation apps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service roles.
- Familiarity with the Lakewood, CO area's streets and neighborhoods.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
