Job Description
Sodexo Canada is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as an Industrial Cleaner for the night shift in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. This is a full-time position offering premium pay and comprehensive training, making it an excellent opportunity for those looking to start a new career or advance in the cleaning industry, even without prior experience. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of industrial facilities, including production areas, offices, and common spaces.
- Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company policies, and cleaning protocols.
- Handle and dispose of waste materials according to established procedures.
- Ensure proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards observed during shift.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve cleaning objectives.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively during night shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and standing for extended periods.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures or willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a similar physical role is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
