Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmaceutical Lab Tech with a strong focus on clinical trials to join our innovative team in Brooklyn, New York. In this critical role, you will play a vital part in supporting clinical research activities by performing a variety of laboratory tests, analyses, and procedures. Your expertise will directly contribute to the success of our drug development pipeline, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data collected during clinical trials. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to strict protocols, and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex laboratory experiments and analyses according to established SOPs, specifically supporting clinical trial protocols.
  • Process, log, and maintain accurate records for clinical trial samples (e.g., blood, urine, tissue) ensuring chain of custody.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment and instrumentation relevant to clinical diagnostics and research.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance activities for all lab procedures and equipment.
  • Prepare reagents, media, and solutions necessary for laboratory testing.
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data, documenting results meticulously in lab notebooks and electronic systems.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and assays, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with research scientists, clinical teams, and other lab personnel.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and company policies.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new assays and methodologies for clinical trial support.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a pharmaceutical or clinical laboratory setting.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques and molecular biology methods (e.g., PCR, ELISA, Western Blot).
  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
  • Strong understanding of GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) and regulatory requirements for clinical trials.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience with specialized clinical trial assays (e.g., pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, biomarkers).
  • Familiarity with clinical trial phases and sample handling logistics.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
