Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist members with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment as needed.
- Help with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying living areas, making beds, and doing laundry.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
- Provide companionship and engage members in stimulating activities.
- Remind members to take medications as prescribed.
- Observe and report any changes in the member's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for members.
- Document care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide (HHA) training program or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of experience as a Home Health Aide or CNA.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals.
