Job Description

Denver Piano Company is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Piano Tuner Trainee. No prior experience in piano tuning is required – we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to develop your skills in tuning, regulating, and repairing pianos. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in extensive on-the-job training with senior piano tuners and technicians.
- Learn the principles of acoustic physics as they apply to piano tuning and regulation.
- Develop skills in using specialized tools for tuning and minor repairs.
- Assist in the disassembly, inspection, and cleaning of piano mechanisms.
- Observe and practice precise hammer and damper regulation techniques.
- Learn to identify and resolve common piano issues, including sticky keys and string breakages.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their piano's condition and maintenance needs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company standards for service excellence.
Required Skills
- Strong desire to learn and master a specialized trade.
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Good listening skills and an ability to discern pitch differences (or willingness to develop).
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Patience and persistence in performing precise, repetitive tasks.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for potential future field work).
