Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Content Editor with excellent English language proficiency to join our innovative team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home. You will be instrumental in refining, fact-checking, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of content generated or assisted by Artificial Intelligence tools, aligning it with BBC’s editorial standards and brand voice. Your expertise will bridge the gap between AI capabilities and high-quality human-curated content, playing a vital role in our digital content strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, edit, and fact-check AI-generated content for accuracy, coherence, and adherence to BBC editorial guidelines.
- Refine linguistic nuances, tone, and style to ensure content is engaging, culturally appropriate, and meets target audience expectations.
- Collaborate with content creators, journalists, and AI developers to optimize AI prompts and models for improved content quality.
- Develop and maintain style guides and best practices for AI-assisted content creation.
- Provide feedback to AI development teams on content generation performance and suggest improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and natural language processing (NLP) technologies.
- Ensure all content is free from bias, inaccuracies, and meets legal and ethical standards.
Required Skills
- Exceptional command of the English language, both written and spoken, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Proven experience in content editing, proofreading, or journalism.
- Familiarity with AI content generation tools and platforms.
- Strong understanding of editorial standards, fact-checking, and ethical content creation.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience working in a news, broadcasting, or digital media environment.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and how they apply to content creation.
