Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Swing Driver to join our FedEx Express team in New Port Richey, FL. As a Swing Driver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by filling in for various routes, covering different territories, and adapting to diverse delivery needs. This position offers a dynamic work environment with excellent opportunities for growth and top-tier compensation. You will be responsible for safe and timely delivery of packages, ensuring outstanding customer service, and upholding the FedEx commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks) to deliver and pick up packages on assigned routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Handle packages with care, ensuring accurate scanning and recording of delivery information.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
- Navigate various routes and adapt to changing schedules or delivery demands.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in delivery, transportation, or a related field.
- Familiarity with the New Port Richey and surrounding Pasco County areas.
- Experience operating various types of delivery vehicles.
